Salt Chlorination System
More Hayward salt chlorination systems have been installed worldwide than any two other manufacturers combined. Trusted by pool owners and pool professionals alike for nearly two decade.
Enjoy the luxurious comfort of silky soft water, that won’t turn eyes red, dry out skin and hair or bleach clothing and toys. Salt chlorination offers a more natural approach to chlorination that also eliminates the harsh chlorine odor associated with factory-produced chlorine.
Imagine never mixing, measuring or lugging heavy buckets or jugs of traditional chlorine again. Salt chlorination offers unmatched convenience when it comes to sanitizing your pool. With the AquaRite salt system, sanitization happens automatically by the constant conversion of ordinary salt into chlorine – without you lifting a finger.
Unmatched Cost Savings.
AquaRite's advanced technology converts a small amount of ordinary salt – one teaspoon per gallon of pool water – into a virtually endless supply of fresh, pure chlorine. The process produces enough chlorine to satisfy the sanitization requirements of pools up to 40,000 gallons, saving you 50% or more compared to traditional chlorine.

Top customer reviews
I want to see how long the cell last between cleanings. If it doesn't stand up to my previous brand I will update this review at that time
Would definitely recommend!
Once installed, we added 700 pounds of salt as recommneded for our 27,000 gallon pool, but that was too much. I would suggest adding about 75% of the recommended amount and then adding a bag at a time until you get to the proper salinity level. With all that salt, we had a 3900 ppm salt level (recommended is 2700 to 3400) so we had to remove some water to get the salt level down.
We also learned that the 50% output level with the 40,000 gallon T-Cell was too high for our 27,000 gallon pool. It made sense once we did the math, but we have found that a 20% output level is perfect to generate about 3 ppm free chlorine. After a couple of weeks we got it figured out and now all of the chemicals are at perfect levels.
One other thing we learned - with the salt water, the nuts and bolts on the top rung of our ladder have started to rust since they are exposed to the salt water and air at times. I need to look into synthetic nuts and bolts or something else that won't rust over the long term. We've also had a little staining on the bottom which I think may be due to some iron in the water. I've just learned to vacuum as soon as I see any sediment on the bottom. If it continues, I may try vacuuming to waste to see if I can get rid of it permanently.
We LOVE our new salt system and just wish we had made the switch sooner. Maintenance (chemical balancing) is much easier (actually I don't have to add a thing anymore) and I don't miss the dry skin, dried out hair and that stinky chlorine smell that I used to have whenever I got out of the chemically chlorinated pool. I highly recommend this product from this vendor. It's a Great Product at a Great Price.
The control box is located about 10 feet away under the over hang of my house roof. I used 2 conduit pipes ( size 1.5 inches 5 feet long each) to attach the control box to it. I pour cement to secure the the conduit pips in the ground.
I wouldn't call myself a handy man, so anyone can do the install. Just read the directions and watch the videos on you tube. Draw out your plan of installing it you"ll be fine.
I'll post some pics later of my install,
