Run it in for 7, connect on a Hail Mary pass, or win the game on a last-second field goal in this fun, fast-paced, addictive card game.
Football is no longer a contact sport with Jukem Football, a two-player card game where the object is to score more touchdowns and field goals than your opponent. The 56-card deck includes three types of cards. The black offensive cards advance your drive toward a touchdown or field goal. The yellow defensive cards slow your opponent's drive by removing his or her last play. And the red defensive cards end your opponent's turn by removing his or her entire current drive.
Each player starts with four cards, and then takes turns drawing one card from the draw pile and playing an offensive card, such as Run, Pass, or Catch, face-up in front of them. If you can't make a play, discard one card. You're trying to play enough cards to get 100 yards (or a touchdown) and score seven points.
You can play a Run card on its own whenever. Pass and Catch cards must be played together, but you can't play a Catch card on a Pass card if the yard range on the Catch card is outside of the range shown on the Pass card. Special cards such as Kick Return, Jukem, and Pancake Block add yardage to your drive.
If you're within 30 yards of scoring 100 yards, you can play a Field Goal card to end your drive. You only score three points for a Field Goal, so be strategic when playing it instead of going for the touchdown.
After you've played offensive cards on your turn, you also have the opportunity to play defensive cards on your opponent to slow down or stop their drive. These cards include Holding, Sack, Fumble, and Picked Off.

We love the strategy in this game. Scores are usually close and the scoring goes back and forth. (Both players are, in essence, on offense and defense at the same time.) One thing we get frustrated with sometimes is that you are supposed to get exactly 100 yards (not over) to score a touchdown. I suppose you could modify that rule but we haven't resorted to that yet. As a parent, it's tough to let your child win in this game. My kids are between 6 and 12 and they all can play and like it.
“I received this game as a gift for Christmas. I think this game is very fun for anyone who can do basic adding up to one hundred. It’s very well set up and easy to play. I love football, and this is a really cool card version of this. I think it is best for ages 7+. I think it is fun and you will too. The only negative thing is packaging for the cards; when you put the cards away, they slide around in the holder when you open and close it.”
