installed this within a couple hours onto my Ford Ranger. Took a moment to figure out where to mount the horns and the compressor but i ended up placing the compressor behind the grill and the horns attached near the skidplate at the tow-hook point. over all instalation was easy. It came with instructions on how to wire it up but when i tryed wiring in the relay provided it would not work. so just by-passing the relay it would work fine, just that I have to hold the button down to play the full tune. Turnes heads every time. Gets tons of complements as well.

Every time my brother comes down the street we can all tell it's him! He blares his Dukes of Hazard musical horn for the whole neighborhood. The horn has held up to lots of use and is certainly loud enough to announce his arrival! It was a little difficult to install. My son-in-law (who is a mechanic) had to help with the installation... it was hard to find a place in the engine compartment where the horns could fit. But they got it in his Ford Ranger and my brother loves this horn.

NOTE: I am inexperienced with connecting air horns. I did this based off of my own common sense:

First of all, hooking up the tubes to the horns/compressor is NOT an easy task... The tubing is extremely thick. I had to cut a little slit in each tube in order for them to fit on the horns. Once I got that all figured out, I hooked up the compressor to the wires connecting to the stock horn in my truck. It worked pretty good about 4 times, each time it got a little louder. After I repositioned the system under the hood, it stopped working. I realized that the ground wire had came off, so I hooked it back up. Ever since then (which was almost 2 months ago), the horn has been working perfect. I've used it probably 50+ times with no problems. I will note that the horns are a little off pitch... But that doesn't really bother anyone. Still sounds amazing and haven't had any issues yet.

Ok so in short, It is plenty loud. easy to install. Downside is does not last in temperature. Mine went bad in about 2 weeks and I only used it about a dozen times. I do live in Vegas so it is extreme heat but still, damn!

You have to buy a fuse that has higher amps then they recommend because it will blow. Also you have to hold the button down the entire time to play the whole tune

Horn sounds great and works well. Nice and loud! The wiring and hook up would take a working knowledge of low voltage wiring systems. Instructions are a little vague. You'll also need some kind of bracket and or mounting surface for all the components. Overall great horn for the money! Really funny on my boat! THANKS!

A little electrical knowledge is needed ( or know someone who does) otherwise the directions are rather vague and confusing.

Installed in 1998 GMC and I am happy with them. Engage them intermittenly as they will blow the fuse if you lay on the horn button. Have lots of fun with them. You don't have to incur an expensive garage bill to install them.
