This novel is a sequel to The Avatar Syndrome which was being studied at the Montreal Neurological Institute. Anne who was the violin virtuoso for just two years is now married to Dr. Peter Brown and traveling quite a bit in her new mystical role...
Peter has been appointed head of the department and has been involved in sonic neurology research. As with other activities happening at the Institute, much acclaim and support is being given, with Dr. Brown gaining more and more of a reputation.
So, of course, somebody who wants to consider their own desires starts considering what they could do with this new "potential..." This time the Vice-President of the United States is the interested party. John Linker was the real power in Washington, while the President was the "front..." Linker already had a Plan. And he had a small group of close confidants they called "The Bridge Club" who would implement that Plan, just as soon as the time was right...
Peter wasn't the least bit interested in what the VP wanted, which didn't surprise him! But when his boss was contacted and offered billions of dollars... The Vice-President wanted Peter Brown to come to Washington and work, using his latest discovery to determine whether it could be of help to those men and women who had developed PTSD...
When he got there, Brown was given a slightly different direction.Read more ›
The depth and breadth of information this book covers is absolutely mind boggling. Stan Law has obviously put so much time and research into this novel. The book will have you pulled in from page one, and you will not want to put it down for any reason. This book is original, you haven't read anything like it unless you read the prequel.
The writing is some of the best writing you will find in any book, anywhere, and though the story is very complex, it is written in such a way that it truly is easy to follow. The characters are so well developed, and so very real, you will know them personally by the time you finish this book. The storyline, plot, the details in the book are simply incredible. You see what the characters see, and then some.
This is one of those books that keep you thinking about it long after you have finished the last chapter, this should really be on the national best sellers list, it is THAT good. If you're looking for a book to make you think while forgetting everything around you, this is the book to get.
I highly recommend!!
The author continues to bring his unparalleled knowledge and blend of ancient religious teachings, spirituality, and science to the book, and he further demonstrates his knowledge of the inner workings of the Vatican.
For anyone that enjoyed The Avatar Syndrome, I definitely recommend Headless World. For those that have not read The Avatar Syndrome, I highly recommend you give them both a try.
Author Stan I.S. Law offers us a sequel to the Avatar Syndrome where once again we meet up with Anne and her family. This time they will be exploring a shocking power struggle. Law’s characters are fully developed lending tremendous weight to his story. Their dialogue is natural and revealing of their personalities. Law’s ability to inject humor into otherwise serious plots makes for a fun read and attachment to specific personalities. I am always impressed by the amount of detail that goes into Law’s stories allowing me to fully appreciate his vision from situations, people, places and cities. They are all vividly present in my mind.
This action packed storyline had me on the edge of my seat until arriving at a brilliant climax. I highly recommend this story and this author!
