I have been using this unit on my e-bike for nearly 2 years now and will not ride at night without it. I just ordered a replacement battery for it after 2 years of everyday use. I could not be happier. I just ordered another unit for another e-bike build I am currently working on. The beam of light is thrown far enough ahead of me as not to outrun the beam when travelling at higher rates of speed. The triple beam helps illuminate the sides of road as well as the road ahead. The construction is great and has been through two rainy seasons without any signs of water damage or rust. I would recommend this to any biker that frequently rides at night or even off road. A great value and holds up well in the Florida heat and rain. I could not ask for anything more from an inexpensive bike light.
I received a light, but it wasn't the one pictured. Amazon did quickly, and easily, refund me the difference. the light i got is bright enough to ride trails at night. I guess that is all i really wanted anyway.
When I received this product it looked like it had been opened. There was no paperwork, no contents list, no instructions, warranty information, or any of that. It is usable as a bike mount, but I have no idea how it can be used practically as a headlamp. Prompt delivery though, and the lamp is very bright.
I charged the battery overnight before I rode my bike on the first time with the new lamp. Early in the morning, 15 minutes into my initial satisfaction of the bright light, flashing red light warned me about low battery. I was only at 1/3-rd of my daily riding task! (My previous high lumen lamp provided me about 1-3 week long battery life for each full charge!) Turned out that I had a faulty battery. The seller was very responsive for my complaint and sent me a replacement battery immediately.
Update 11/11/2012 The replacement battery had about 90 min battery life on the brightest setting in clear and rainy weather without charging. As the battery lost power, the light indicator changed color (blue= fully charged, green < 75% yellow= 50% red >25% flickering red >5%. These values are only estimates!) The indicator gave the information I needed to use a dimmer light setting to safely reach my destination. The replaced battery life is satisfactory for my purpose; therefore, I am very happy with the puchase. The light at the brightest setting gives a very wide bright light.
Update 2/25/2013 Just recently realized that I lost the glass covers and fasteners from both of my small side-lights; there goes the waterproof feature!! Lately, the light also has some contact problem inside the wires; I frequently have to stop and yank on the cables until the light is back on. Well, I am ready for a different headlight.

Only issue is that if you use the very brightest setting even a full charge only lasts 120 minutes, however using the lowest setting and my 1.5 hour ride has plenty of light for my early morning rides. Recharging every other day works best.
I purchased this light in the hope that it would allow me to ride at night. I put it on my bike the day it arrived and rode a city trail. The light far exceeded what I desired. It is super bright and will shine depending on how it is directed several hundred feet ahead or closer for more pinpointed illumination. The light works great needless to say and I would recommend it to anyone wanting a excellent light for night riding. You won't be disappointed.
I bought this light for night time mountain biking through the woods, and it is very very bright you can see everything.
After about month of use my and a team mate that has the same light both had the same problem where all three lights would not come on anymore. I found that the ground wire inside the casing had broke off and after re-soldering the wire back to the circuit board it worked like new. Have had a year now without any new issues.
