Product Description
Why buy a second headset just for your home or office phone? Use the PC35-PH25 HeadstBuddy Adapter and your existing PC headset with a home or office phone that has a single 2.5mm plug. A big productivity enhancer for home businesses, call centers, sales people, road warriors, or anyone who is on the phone all the time, but doesn't want to carry two headsets, one for the computer, and one for the phone. This amazing adaptor is designed for anyone who uses Skype, RingCentral, or other computer-based Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) phone services. It works by converting the standard headset 3.5mm mic/audio plugs to a standard 2.5mm plug, allowing you to use your favorite PC computer/laptop headset with your cordless phone or cell phone. This adapter is designed for use with headsets that have two 3.5 mm. plugs; one for the microphone and one for the headphones/earpiece(s). The adapter outputs binaural sound for stereo headsets, meaning you will hear sound out of both ears. The adapter cable is approximately five (5) inches long.

- Reviewed in the United States on February 2, 2014This product works perfectly and is the only one that I found that does exactly what I need.
I have a Panasonic radio phone with a 2.5mm "plantronics" headset plug. Most of the headsets that I found for this type of plug have only one earpiece and a microphone. This is a problem if you have a noisy background, don't hear well, or are connected on a call with poor sound quality on the sending end.
I have a headset with 2 earpieces and is a good quality product, but struggled to get the 3.5mm plugs to work with an adapter that would let me use it with my radio phone's 2.5mm plug.
I bought a number of adapters in an attempt to get the two 3.5mm headset plugs (one mike plug and one audio out plug) to work with the 2.5mm jack on the phone. None of them worked properly, except this one. Some had the plugs too close together for them to plug together without jiggling them. Some said they supported microphone input through the adapter, but did not.
This one works exactly as described: the plugs fit exactly without jiggling and the microphone works through the adapter. A++ for this product. It frustrates me that Amazon search makes it so difficult to find a product in this category.
Another suggestion if you are trying to improve your hearing through a headset like this: look at the Fiios E07, it is an amplifier that takes 3.5mm plugs boosts the audio substantially for a call and makes it so you can hear everything. The mike is not amplified by the E07, but probably doesn't need to be amplified.
- Reviewed in the United States on May 6, 2012I purchased the headset AND the Headset Buddy. Reason, I have poor hearing. My home cordless phones accept headsets. My home phone svc is a landline provided by local carrier. I broke my last headset for telephones. Latest dual earmuff headsets around $300. Perhaps I searched for the wrong item or in the wrong place. Anyway I spend time on Skype as well. The Headset Buddy works with the previous Logitec headset I got from Wal-Mart. And it works with the headset I purchased with it, and it works with my cell phone, works with my laptop, AND works with my desktop when I unplug the Headset Buddy and use the headset on boaf computers at different times....with just the headset. I will purchase several more. One to keep in my vehicle full time...which has a Trac Phone cell phone in it. One for each of two house computers. And then some for gifts to family. It enables me to hear better by covering both ears with a muff while getting dual sound....sound in each ear. And it allows me to communicate hands free while moving in a vehicle as a passenger and or just pulled off the road to talk. I hear tremenously better with the headset...blocking out other sounds while providing sound.....Great Product....works terrificly, will buy more. FYI purchased on Amazon and received promptly in great packaging from the vendor.
- Reviewed in the United States on August 29, 2012The Headset Buddy works well for a couple of days. However, even with very careful use the soldered connection inside the molded phone jack becomes loose (or broken). Then, you must hold pressure on the jack to keep it connected. This is my forth Headset Buddy and each one has had the same problem. I will look for another brand adapter. This brand is tooooo frustrating!
- Reviewed in the United States on November 2, 2010I bought this adaptor specifically for the Logitech Gaming Headset G330. I wanted to use them for Xbox Live. How does the adaptor perform? Beautifully. Never had a problem with it so far. I did notice that it can come out of the controller very easily, but I actually use the qwerty keyboard attachment on my xbox controller, and when the adaptor is plugged into that, it fits snug, won't come out accidently. So I'm very pleased with the adaptor, but I guess if I didn't have the qwerty keyboard controller attachment on my controller then I'd definitely be upset to the point where I'd have to look for something else. So word of warning out there to you. If you are getting this to use for the Xbox 360, buy IF: you use the qwerty keyboard controller attachment.
- Reviewed in the United States on February 25, 2015I learned about Headset Buddy adapters through reading Amazon reviews. If you search amazon for the three words Headset Buddy adapter you'll see all of them. This adapter makes me very happy as it allows me to use my existing computer headset for talking on my chordless land line phone handset which needs a 2.5mm plug. This means I only use one headset for everything. So simple! Honestly it's all a little confusing to me so I'm just glad Headset Buddy has so many adapters to choose from, that I picked the right one, and that it works so well. The adapter is kind of heavy so seems to be good quality and definitely works AOK. The product photo is accurate.
- Reviewed in the United States on February 4, 2014I purchased one in 2010, works excellent & still in use daily. purchase in Nov 2013 and Jan 2014 do not work. They have static. purchased another telephone and static is still present. Tried on 3 different handsets, still static. I received item not as pictured. The new ones have bump in middle with connector. The old one was 2 lines out of phone adapter. Replugged, pushed in further, still no. I still need one and hard to find. Returning.
Update 03.31.2014: They are hard to find so I worked on my older one. I used a fine nail file and polished the male connector on my adapter from 2013, then rubbed with a clean cloth. It has worked perfectly since doing this polishing/cleaning job. Maybe they should add a note to the instructions.

It works great with all my computer headsets on my phone.

Now I can use normal PC earphones/mic with my Panasonic phone instead of their overpriced set. In my case the sound is too quiet so I am plannig to attach an earphone amplifier using this connector.

Uroš RezarReviewed in Germany on May 10, 20132.0 out of 5 stars Wrong headset received
The producer, Long Tail, sent me wrong headset buddy. I asked them to change it and I am still waiting (one month) for their response.
The headset buddy I received is 2.5 to 3.5 mm jack adapter. I managed to connect my mobile phone headset to desk phone and it works. Sound has decent quality.
