Want to use your favorite headphones as a headset?

When you want to use the microphone, attach it using the magnetic clasp. When you're not using the microphone, just remove it.

The magnet is not as strong as it should be, but using the supplied clip it's easy to reduce the chances of it separating from your headphones.
Compatible With Xbox One Stereo Headset Adapter
Picks Up Background Noise
Not Very Flexible/Flimsy
Pros: The mic picks up my voice great, I sound clear and loud. I detach it when I'm not playing games where I need it.comes with an extra attachment point so you can put it on two sets of headphones if you want.
Cons:The magnet that holds it on is strong, but not super strong. you can easily knock the mic off your headphones if you are not careful. The mic can move around and not stay where you put it if you don't secure the mic cord to your headphone cord.
I use this for playing on my desktop PC at my desk. I am sitting relatively still in a desk chair and secure the mic cord to my headphone cord with a small velcro wrap. The mic works fine in this setup. If you like to play games on your couch with other people sitting next to you and you move around a lot, you will probably have problems. If you want to use the mic in noisy areas, you will probably have to use Push to Talk, or adjust your sound card settings to find a good sensitivity setting.
Overall, I chose this mic because i didn't want to wait in line for a Modmic and I wanted to use my Sennheiser headphones with their wonderful open soundstage for playing multiplayer games. The only other options I saw were to use a desktop mic and lean forward to talk, or speak unusually loudly, or to use a clip on mic that attaches to the headphone cord, or your shirt (which I don't like). This mic is the next best thing to a Modmic. I use it a lot and I am happy with it. I do see that there is room for improvement but this solution works.
Before buying this, look at the Modmic. If there's not a waiting list and if the price is reasonable, the Modmic is probably a better option. If you want to game in a "busy" environment where you'll be moving around a lot, look into a dedicated gaming headset. You may sacrifice some positional pinpointing but having a single cord and hard-wired mic may be worth it.
If you have a good sound card, good headphones and you don't want to wait or pay through the nose for a Modmic, this thing works. it's far from perfect, but it does its job. Overall I'm satisfied with it, but I might upgrade to a Modmic later if they become available without a long wait or high prices.
The product comes with two magnetic clasps so you can use the moov mic on two separate headphones. The mic did not cleanly attach to the first clasp I tried. The mic would jiggle around on it and never sit firmly in place. I peeled it off and threw it in the garbage. I adhered the second clasp in the same spot and had much better results. Clearly the first clasp was defective.
The sliding mechanism of the microphone is too loose to be fully functional. If you bend the microphone in any way that disrupts its center of gravity, it will rotate within the sliding mechanism and fall like a limp ________. That being said, for normal, everyday use, this microphone worst fine and costs less than half the price of its only real competitor.
