5.0 out of 5 stars Highly portable system, but at the moment for reliable SteamVR experience use the wired head marker connection .
By Gürtler Csaba on August 4, 2018
The box contains all parts and cables for different configurations (ie: OTG cables for the head marker unit to connect to the phones, and different lenght cables for PC USB connectivity).
Clever charging solution with a three-ended micro-USB charger to be able to charge the base station and the two controllers at the same time.

Native integration with Riftcat software, which supports complete wireless (with the usage of the OTG cable) and mixed connection (wireless streaming to the phone, and USB wired connection of the head marker to the PC). Unfortunately the fully wireless solution is not as powerful in SteamVR (the latency is higher and the refresh rate is slower than the advertised values), I hope this will be better with future versions of Riftcat, because in this state it's below standards.

The USB wired connection on the other hand is solid and provides fluid movement (low latency and high refresh rates), altough the placement of the base station and the lack of objects / reflecting surfaces in the surrounding environment is the key for the best results. Ceiling placement is another option, but the neccessary holder for the base station is unfortunately not included in the box by default (altough the company provides downloadable .STL model files of a compatible ceiling holder at their website if someone has the opportunity to access to 3D printers). I did not have the opportunity to test the ceiling mount yet.

I've tested the unit with GearVR + Samsung S8 phone, and Riftcat BETA 2.2.5 software at the moment (and the provided NOLO Assistant software of course). Right now I strongly recommend to use the wired connection, and wait for future software releases if the fully wireless connection is desired.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great product, but doesn't have 360 tracking.
By Momo on May 12, 2020
I bought this, and didn't realize that it didn't have 360 tracking. I am a developer and these won't be useful for me, but for anyone looking to have legs and waist body tracking, or you need to add 2 arms and head tracking for 180 tracking, this is for you. It works well, if you set it up right.
I own an HTC Vive, so, I will stick to Vive products, although it is more expensive.
I give it 4 stars, because it does everything you need it to do, except for the 360 body tracking.
