When Laurel Ann Reinhardt discovered a lump in her breast she witnessed firsthand how fear holds silent reign over the Western health care system and hinders the process of healing. This fear is systematically perpetuated by doctors, insurance agents, and drug companies--undermining the foundation of all healing and the important work health care providers are meant to perform.

In Healing without Fear Reinhardt offers eighty exercises for recognizing, releasing, and transforming fear in one’s self and in our health care system. Drawing on the work of Rupert Sheldrake, Ken Wilber, and Carl Jung, as well as her own years of experience as a clinical psychologist, Reinhardt provides a thoughtful discussion about the existence, creation, and impact of a morphogenic “field of fear” in the health care system and the tools we need to recognize and dissipate it before it can undermine the healing process. From exercises for “talking back to fear” to “being heard and seen by physicians,” Healing without Fear utilizes visualizations, journaling, chakra meditations, dreamwork, case studies and personal stories to show how to allow true healing to begin.

LAUREL ANN REINHARDT has a Ph.D. in clinical psychology and practiced as a licensed psychologist for over twenty years. She now leads workshops throughout the United States for both the general public and health care professionals on how to release fear and transform the health care system. She lives in Asheville, North Carolina.

This book leads you through your fears and through a healing process where you connect with your inner physician. I recommend this book to any of my clients who have an illness. There is too much fear mongering and powerlessness in our medical communities -- this is the tool you need to break through this fear and powerlessness. Thank you Laurel for such a quality book.
