About the Author
Julie Rovner is a health policy correspondent for NPR specializing in the politics of health care. Her articles have appeared in dozens of national publications including The Washington Post, USA Today, and Modern Maturity. In 2004, the National Press Foundation awarded Rovner their Everett McKinley Dirksen Award for Distinguished Reporting of Congress.
