About the Author
Eric Golanty is professor emeritus of health and wellness at Las Positas College in Livermore, California. He has a bachelor's and a master's degree in biochemistry from the University of California, Berkeley and a PhD in human development and family studies from the University of California, Davis. He has taught personal health and human sexuality and supervised peer health counseling and health educator training at Las Positas College and UC Davis. He has taught personal health online since 2000 and has developed distance learning programs and trained faculty in educational uses of the Internet. He is co-author of the college textsHealth and Wellness,Human Sexuality: The Basics, andHuman Reproduction. He also is co-author of the pocket handbookFirst Aid for Sports Injuriesand author of the self-help book,How to Prevent and Help Heal Running and Other Sports Injuries.
