Goji Chia Power Smoothie
1/4 cup Healthworks Goji Berries.
1 tablespoon Healthworks Chia Seeds.
1/4 cup water.
1/2 cup almond or hemp milk.
1/2 cup frozen strawberries.
1/2 cup frozen blueberries.
1. In a small bowl, combine goji berries, chia seeds and water; soak for 10 minutes. In a blender, add banana, milk, strawberries and blueberries. The goji berries and chia seeds should be soft, having absorbed the water. Add them to the blender with the soaking water and blend on high until smooth.
Chia Breakfast Pudding
1 cup unsweetened vanilla soy, hemp or almond milk.
1/4 cup Healthworks Chia Seeds.
1/4 cup rolled oats.
1/2 teaspoon alcohol free vanilla flavor.
2 tablespoons raisins.
1/4 cup blueberries.
1/2 sliced banana.
1. In a bowl, mix together all ingredients except blueberries and banana. Let mixture sit for 10 minutes.
2. Stir in blueberries and banana. Add additional non-dairy milk if desired, to adjust consistency.
For an on-the-run breakfast, make the night before and store in the refrigerator.
Raspberry Chia Seed Jam
2 cup frozen raspberries.
1/3 cup hemp hearts.
1/3 cup Healthworks Chia Seeds.
juice from 1 lemon.
drizzle of light agave nectar.
1. Place the raspberries and lemon juice in a small saucepan over medium-high heat.
2. Cook for about 5 minutes, or until raspberries begin to break down.
3. Stir in hemp hearts, chia seeds, and agave nectar to taste.
Let cool to room temperature before placing in jar or using in recipe.
Chia Fresca Drink Recipe
1 cup coconut water.
2 tablespoons pineapple juice.
1 tablespoon Healthworks Chia Seeds.
1. Briefly whirl all ingredients together in a blender (or shake well in a closed container) and let sit for 15 minutes for chia seeds to expand.
