Chocolaty Peanut Butter and Banana Smoothie Bowl
2 tbsp Healthworks Cacao Nibs.
1 tbsp Healthworks Cacao Powder.
1 cup almond milk.
1 large banana, sliced.
1 cup ice.
2 Tbsp peanut butter.
¼ tsp pure vanilla extract.
1 tbsp maple syrup.
2 tbsp granola.
2 tbsp chopped peanuts.
Blend the almond milk, ½ the banana, ice, peanut butter, cocoa powder, vanilla extract, and maple syrup until smooth.
Transfer to a bowl and top with the cocoa nibs, granola, chopped peanuts, and remaining ½ banana.
2 tablespoons Healthworks Cacao Powder.
16 ounces of hot water.
1 teaspoon honey.
1/4 cup milk (regular, coconut, almond, etc).
Boil the water.
Place cacao powder in the bottom of your cup and then pour about 2 tablespoons of the hot water into the cup.
Using a spoon, stir the cacao and water until smooth. Then fill your cup with the rest of the hot water.
Add sweetener, milk, and marshmallows to taste.
Chocolate Chia Pudding
1/4 cup Healthworks Chia Seeds.
2 tablespoon Healthworks Cacao Powder.
1 (13.5 ounce) can coconut milk, blended.
1 cup water.
1/8 teaspoon vanilla stevia.
1/8 teaspoon sea salt.
Blend the coconut milk prior to combining it with the other ingredients. This way you will end up with a smooth consistency.
Combine blended coconut milk, water, and chia seeds in a jar and shake well.
Add cacao powder, stevia, and salt and shake well.
Refrigerate overnight to let chia seeds soften and absorb liquid.
Serve and enjoy!
Sweet Potato Fudge
1/2 cup Healthworks Coconut Oil, melted.
3/4 cup Healthworks Cacao Powder.
2 cups sweet potato puree.
1 teaspoon vanilla extract.
Sea salt to taste.
Blend all ingredients in a bowl or food processor until smooth.
Line an 8x8 dish with plastic wrap leaving a little extra on the sides to lift out the fudge with ease.
Chill for an hour or so until firm, cut into desired pieces.
Notes: Great additions to the fudge include protein powder, nuts, cacao nibs, coconut shreds, cinnamon, turmeric, cayenne pepper, or maca powder. Great garnishes include toasted nuts, coconut, coarse sea salt or cacao nibs placed on top before chilling.

Answer: Cacao Powder and Cocoa powder are not the same thing, but you can substitute cacao for cocoa. Some differences between Cacao Powder and Cocoa Powder are that Cacao Powder is raw and does not contain the additives that are often in cocoa such as sugars, milk fat, hydrogenated oils and artificial flavorings. Cacao Powder is high in antioxidants and contains essential vitamins and minerals, while Cocoa Powder is stripped of the nutrients because it is processed. Cacao Powder is a healthy alternative to using cocoa powder.

Answer: Yes, our cacao beans go through a process of natural fermentation after they are picked. This process takes place before the beans are extracted from their shells and cold pressed. It is a natural process that gives the beans their chocolaty taste and lowers their phytic acid levels.
