I have included a recipe I recently developed for vegan, gluten-free, rich, chocolate-brownie cookies using this cacao powder. This recipe can be made as either chewy or crispy cookies, depending on how long you bake them. If you do not prefer (as I do!) your chocolate cookies to be super sweet, then you can leave out the stevia and/or the monk fruit powder.
VEGAN, CHOCOLATE-BROWNIE, CHEWY OR CRISPY COOKIES
Preheat oven: 325 degrees chewy, 310 degrees crispy
Cook: 6 minutes chewy, 10 minutes crispy
Yield: 28 1-tablespoon-size cookies
Calories: 70 each
Ingredients
3/4 cup raw sugar
1/2 cup coconut oil
1 cup flour
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
1 tsp arrowroot powder
1 T stevia (optional)
1/4 tsp. monk fruit powder (optional)
1/2 cup cacao powder
1 T vanilla extract
1 tsp. almond extract (optional)
2 T water
Instructions
•Preheat oven and grease cookie sheets.
•Combine sugar and coconut oil and beat well with a wire whisk.
•Combine all dry ingredients and mix well with wire whisk, then add to sugar/oil mixture and blend well.
•Blend in vanilla extract, almond extract and water. This will create a thick, dense dough.
•Use a 1-tablespoon-size melon ball dipper or 1-tablespoon measuring spoon to dip out precise portions for individual cookies. Form them into round balls, and leave plenty of room between the cookies because they will spread as they cook. If you want a thick and chewy cookie, don’t press the balls flat. If you want crispy cookies, press the balls very flat.
•Bake the cookies 6 minutes for chewy and 10 minutes for crispy (check them after 8 minutes to make sure they aren’t getting too brown). Allow them to cool on the cookie sheet for 5-10 minutes either way.
•Store uneaten cookies in the freezer. They can be eaten the moment you take them out of the freezer. Because they are thin cookies, they don’t get too hard to chew when frozen.
Note: This recipe can also be used to make a chocolate crust for a cherry pie, either for the bottom or the top of the pie. Partially precook the crust before baking the pie.

This is a very finely ground all natural cacao powder, so upon opening make sure it has settled for a moment otherwise it will produce a DELICIOUS smelling cloud that will dust your counter! Not so much that you have a bad experience and seriously minimal clean up but just a tip so you know what to expect. There are no additives so it is bitter to the taste but a little sugar (Like this awesome organic, no calorie stevia Organic Enzo Stevia Powder 100% All Natural 0 Calories 320 Times Sweeter Than Sugar Extract ) and it tastes like milk chocolate with more benefits than dark chocolate! I've used this for making chocolate cake (rich, moist, and delicious!), chocolate frosting (YUM!), chocolate and orange & chocolate and mint chapsticks ( a super treat that smoothes and conditions your lips and glides effortlessly while tasting great) adding this mixed with cornstarch or arrowroot powder makes a great light weight facial bronzer that smells amazing and with the right amounts can be used on skin colors from porcelain to those with a deep chocolate color, you can also add a little golden mica for a Sunkist ed bronzer. I've also used it to make body butter for Christmas time and in the spring/summer I use this to make body bronzer that is literally amazing and restoring! Those who have sampled and purchased my products rave about the chocolate variations and this cacao chocolate is my secret weapon! To make the bronzer which is my hottest seller, you just need Jojoba oil (Great non-porous clogging moisturizer), this cacao powder (skin conditioner, and repairer that also gives the color and added the benefits directly to your body and you can get the hormone balance benefits without the calories by adding to you skin) , melted shea butter (deep conditioner) with just a little beeswax(lotion stabilizer and protection for your skin), vitamin E (moisturizer and preservative) red raspberry seed (for spf 15) peppermint (keeps it light feeling and cleanses pores) and carrot seed (repairs skin) essential oils. I listed these according to amounts. Play around with amounts until you get a blend that is right for you and don't worry if it appears very dark it lightens as you rub in leaving you with a nice golden tan glow. This cacao is such a healthy form of chocolate that you can feel great about treating yourself with it whether you bake with it, put it on your face or skin or lips you will recieve so many benefits that you will feel amazingly pampered and balanced!
