It gets frustrating because I am terrible at baking, I don't have a lot of spare time, it makes a mess, and it usually turns out just blah. Additionally, I don't keep all of the ingredients used for baking around. We eat a pretty clean diet.
When I saw that this cookbook was written by a local health and wellness professional, I decided to take a closer look, as I like to support local businesses. I took my chances on ordering it after asking the author a couple of questions.
Dawn, the author, assured me that it was written with busy Families in mind. It is also gluten and dairy free which is an extra bonus.
I couldn't be happier! I have had the cookbook for a week, and I have already made 5 different recipes. Four of these were "non baking" goodies.
My son Loves the sweets that I have been making, and Many of the ingredients are ones I already had! Most of the recipes have only a handful of ingredients and take no time at all to whip together.
We LOVE this cookbook and would recommend it to anyone!
Try the dark chocolate crunch candy, the chocolate almond butter thumbprint cookies, brownies and the chocolate coconut flour cupcakes! I made all of these for various holiday festivities and cookie swaps and everyone thought I was a chocolate genius!
