From the Author
How did this book come about? I knew I wanted to write a story set at a camp, similar to the one where I grew up. About the time I was looking for a story, two of my own children had friends from different families whose mothers told them they didn't want the kids living with them anymore. These were not problem kids. I'd have taken them into my home without reservation. So I couldn't understand what could make a mother say that to her child. And I couldn't bear the depth of pain those words must have inflicted on those kids' hearts. As I pondered the situation, I sensed the Spirit nudge me and say, "There's your story."
I hope you'll enjoy reading about the campers and staff of Rustic Knoll Bible Camp. It's a place where teens bring their baggage to camp...and gain a new perspective, a godly perspective on life.
It's camp so real you can smell the campfire. No bug spray needed!
