For some reason I'd expected more of this book; it didn't quite meet my expectations of being effective for most people.
The book is a collection of stuff with 1 - 2 page discussions of that stuff. Every item is labelled "Communication Tip xxx" & many of the things under these headings are NOT communication tips. They are suggestions, scenario's, advice, etc which are probably very useful for someone with a bit of knowledge about & understanding of Marshall Rosenberg's Non-Violent Communication (NVC) model & principles.
Overall, I was kind of disappointed.
After a while, I started to dislike the book. The recommendations got more and more ridiculously short and simple. I could not make it beyond tip number 10 and I really did work on the book, created an excerpt of tips in an Excel spreadsheet. When I read the first ten tips, I thought "what?! are you kidding me?"
I guess, if you are like me, you probably have some communication issues to work on. Well, this is NOT the book that will be of help.
