The scenery is wonderfully depicted and the characters are perfectly fleshed out and real. (Well, mostly. I was glad to see that Jack London didn’t suffer nearly as much during this story as he really did during his time there ... the joys of fiction.) The page count is delightfully lengthy without dragging on, though the ending was entirely too abrupt for my liking.
Hopefully book two isn’t too far off and will pick up seamlessly where this one left off.
This is easily one of the better historical lesbian romances I’ve read and is well worth the investment in both time and money.

There are not enough words for Thomas, Rachel and Jack I was upset it took so long for their build but at the end I understand you were laying foundation for what is to come so I can't fault you for that. Thomas is a beautiful soul and Rachel is aaa sweet loving woman and I really hope they get their happily ever after
Thank you for Roy and George 🤭 it actually took too long to happen but whew 😉, I'm not a fan of Charlotte especially how she came into the picture her rudeness rubbed me wrong and I'm not over it she abandoned her sister years ago and waltz in and rummage the people who took care of her when her own husband didn't nah. Anyways buy this book people it's worth it
One woman, refusing to live her life by other people’s rules, turns herself into a man and heads to Alaska to find enough money for the ranch she’s always dreamed of.
The other woman, who foolishly wed a dreamer because of his promises to take her on adventure, struggles with the social confines of being a woman meeting the arduous physical requirements of the Alaskan wilderness.
Together they strike it rich, build a family, and survive a harsh Alaskan winter; proving love, loyalty, and hard work can make any dream come true. I really wish I knew what happened to them after they left Alaska. How did the rest of their lives turn out?
