"Heart of Love Evolution is a powerful, emotional journey through depression and suicidal thoughts from an author who has sought to imbue the reader with insight and guidance from her own experiences.. The writing is smooth, sophisticated, and altogether poetic. Dark and immediate subject matter is brought to the forefront with a sensitivity and treatment that is intelligent, sensitive, and complexly rendered. The author is evidently comfortable with the craft and has a good grasp of writing techniques and narrative development."

'Heart of Love Evolution' is the story of her own confrontation against the dark demon many of us must face every day, her struggle, and her eventual victory – if only a temporary one, for, as she herself readily admits, such a victory is, at best, a temporary reprieve, as the demon is ever-present. We who have been there know this to be all too true: the conflict is neverending, and, as Ms Farkas intuitively points out so well in this book, the demon may be beaten down, but never truly obliterated. She grasps the key point - as many do not – that this darkness is a personal thing, self-structured to each and every individual, and can only be described in its own, unique, terms. It cannot not be entirely grasped by others, though they too stand against the same darkness, cloaked in its own garb.
Ms Farkas’ graphically describes how her own descent into the pit of depression (her "Valley of Tears") began with the terminal illness of her mother. Her burden of suffering, increased and aggravated by the inexplicable actions of an alcoholic (and, evidently, mentally disturbed) father, steadily wore her down, leaving her isolated, cut off from common humanity, and in a state of utter hopelessness. Feeling abandoned, and with no other way of escape, she cried out in the only way she knew how, and twice attempted to end her own life.Read more ›
This book is worth reading, particularly by those suffering from depression. The book brings the message of hope and it shows that through self-love, those who harbor feelings of desperation and of being lost can recover, just as Terezia did. Terezia turned her life around by looking for the light within her experiences and through loving herself.
This book is the author’s thoughts and feelings during the time she is undergoing depression. As such, it is not a linear story nor was it written for mass entertainment. It deals with the dark and hard-to-understand aspects of how the author handled feelings during her depression. She is a good writer so the sentences flow well even when the big ideas in her brain may be difficult for others to grasp.
Having encountered depression in my life, I can appreciate how everyone handles it differently. What eventually works for one person may not be suitable to anyone else. While I find it hard to associate with the thoughts the author writes, I am grateful that she chose to reveal them. There is very little public communication from depressed people so this book fills that rare niche. Anything to increase awareness and willingness to discuss depression is a help to our society.
As to who I feel would benefit; probably the non-scientific reader. More for someone who enjoys artistic and spiritual imagery, someone who can be inspired by another soul and fulfill their spiritual journey in this life. It is a message of accepting love from others and finding love in yourself.
