He meets Ladir an Apostle of Gladik and Makri. Ladir becomes his companion and teacher, but Diman cannot reconcile his beliefs that violence is never the answer with the conflict between the two Apostles and the members of the church of Dera.
This wasn’t a fast read because it made me think. It so closely mirrors what happens in our lives, what we are told, who we choose to trust and believe. What happens when you realize that you’re no longer sure what to believe or who to trust?
This was also the love story of two people, who complement each other and by doing so, become stronger.
This is a fantasy story, but I would highly recommend it to anyone interested in the world around us. What is important in life and what is truly irrelevant in the end?
I received an ARC in return for an honest review.
Then Ladir thinking that that vengeance is the only way to help him with his parents murder. So to have Diman trying to get Ladir to understand why violence isn't always the answer was so sweet.

ARC given for an honest review.
This was an interesting read. The characters weren't one dimensional and the plot wasn't rushed or overly slow. I did feel the story could gave been more developed, with more action and more character development. It was dissatisfied with the book as a fantasy, but felt the romance portion was very good though conflicts were resolved fairly quickly.
