Truly fantastic writing as always. Juliana is spectacular when it comes to story telling. I always feel like I'm in the heroine's shoes. I feel their pain, passion, desire, love, fear, dislike; everything!
This book has the potential for a strong series. I was left wanting more from the end of this book. I cannot wait for book 2.
Great job Juliana! I hate giving reviews with spoilers; therefore I won't mention any. If you want a quick synopsis of the book; read the intro. if you want to read a good story; READ THE BOOK!
It is an exciting urban fantasy novel that includes, intrigue, mystery and romance.
This supernatural tale features Mirella, a descendant of a very old and powerful bloodline. She has been lied to from birth and just wants to be normal but realizes that she is not. She also finds out that she is desired for her blood.
The reader follows Mirella on her numerous trials and challenges to save her people before they are hunted and killed. It is well written, is smooth flowing and has a promising storyline. Though it did seem a little rushed in the telling leaving the reader unable to quite connect with the character and so a wee bit unsatisfied by the time all the pages were turned.
Gifted with a copy which I voluntarily reviewed.
