From the Author
I loved writing this story about the period of cattle drives. Without these marches north to Kansas or other places, a lot of Texas ranchers would've gone under. Outlaws and rustlers sometimes preyed on these groups which is what happens in this story. Houston Legend has to protect not only his large herd and his drovers, but his new wife and child as well who come along. The outlaws threaten to pick off one person a day if Houston doesn't give up. But he's determined and giving up isn't in his vocabulary. He'll ride through hell and back to win the fight. In the process, he discovers a love like he's never known in Lara Boone's arms. I think you'll like this one. Baby Gracie and Lara's mentally challenged brother Henry provide humor and several layers of warmth that will seep into your heart. I hope you enjoy it.
