In A Heart Torn, A Soul Mended, Wolfe shares specific examples of how she transformed her life after experiencing a tragedy that left her plummeting into despair, isolation and hopelessness. She leaves the reader inspired with hope by her resilience. As she shares her story, she also gives the reader "Gentle Points" at the end of each chapter:
eg. page 113: "When our hearts are open to all possibilities, events that defy the physical laws of nature can flow toward us."
The author's perspective gives insights about dealing with mental health bureaucracies, facts about mental illness and medications. She also describes a wide variety of encounters which helped her in her journey. These include The Compassionate Friends, the Assemblies Church, psychic readings, Stephen's Ministry, and a course in dreams.
In summary, Tricia tells us an inspiring story of how she reached out of herself, learned to forgive, to move on and how she grew spiritually and emotionally to a place of peace.
Thank you for your efforts, Tricia: your words do not fall on deaf ears.
Peace be with you.
Daniel Gutierrez, Professor of Criminal Justice.
