Town librarian and vicar’s daughter has only had time and love for one man and that was supposed bad-boy Reese Cooper. His departure, coupled with her father’s loathing for Reese, ensures Lilly takes refuge in her work.
An irritating co-worker, a hurricane, a family and friends all feature in The Heartbreaker.
The setting is vivid, the characters realistic and the journey of discovery and trust between the main characters is skilfully done.
While The Heatbreaker is the second in the eight-book series the Hearts of Braden stories it can be read on its own even though certain characters make cameo appearances in each book.
I’m looking forward to the release of the third story in the Hearts of Braden series.
Reese returns to his small town home to recover from his MMA injuries, but his past of good and bad are waiting for him also
His long held attraction to preacher's daughter and librarian Lily threatens to devastate him with more force than any opponent he has ever faced in the octagon. They may call him the Heartbreaker, but his is the heart in danger.
Reese and Lily's story captivated me from the beginning and I couldn't stop reading. The emotions are off the charts, along with the compelling story lines. For a small town, there is plenty of heat in this romance!
This is Book 2, but can be read as a stand alone
