her husband is murdered and the rancher who found her, tries to take her to his ranch for the winter but when her house is destroyed by arson, she does go to live there because she is pregnant. From here the story grows as they both have to overcome hurts they have had for years.
this is a well written story of 2 people who do eventually find out what true love is. A lot of things happen, including the arson, ranch cattle being stolen, his former fiance returning years later -very weak & pregnant, a kidnapping. & 2 babies & a housekeeper turned grandmother.
