This is a wonderful book about the life of a young man who joins the military during World War 2 and gets thrown into a sequence of events that define his life. The book is written with heart and you just feel like you’re there, going through the trials and tribulations with young J.D. Sommers as he experiences them. I highly recommend any world war 2 buffs give this a read.
