Saving Hope is an excellent show. The only reason it didn't succeed in the US is because NBC gave it absolutely NO marketing! Zilch, zip, nada, zero. In Canada, where CTV actually PROMOTED the show so that viewers knew it existed, it became the #1 summer drama! The entire cast is amazing. The 3 leads - Erica Durance, Michael Shanks, and Daniel Gillies - play off each other so well, and there is so much more history there that we need to learn, & that we get little glimpses of via flashbacks. Then you add the supporting cast of actors like Huse Madhavji, Salvatore Antonio, Kristopher Turner, & Wendy Crewson to flesh out a well-rounded, extremely talented crew. The show has some of just about everything - humor, drama, romance - all with a supernatural element thrown in, as Dr. Charlie (Shanks) lies in a coma with his spirit wandering the halls, observing everything going on around him. His fiancee Alex (Durance) is forced to deal with the trauma of Charlie's coma while trying to function in her own capacity as a doctor, & the stress of having her ex-boyfriend Joel (Gillies) arrive to work at the hospital. That NBC dropped the last 2 episodes of this show in order to show repeats of another show was a travesty, & the ultimate in lack of respect for their viewers. I was able to watch the show on their website, and also found them available on Hulu and here on Amazon, but many people may not have had that option. I keep in touch with several of the cast via twitter, and have been told that they are still in discussions with several US networks who are possibly interested in picking up the series, but nothing has been finalized. I am keeping my fingers crossed that there is a network out there who is smart enough to recognize a great show when they see it, and willing to invest at least a little marketing effort to make the show known to more people. It will then sell itself to the audience.

I was so happy to find the remaining few episodes of Saving Hope on Amazon. I enjoyed watching this show when when it was broadcast in the US, and very disappointed when the Network dropped it. The show is a nice mix of medical drama, relationship drama, and a season long story about a comatose Dr. There is a paranormal aspect that adds emotion and laughs. I look forward to watching Season 2 online even if a US Network doesn't decide to include it on the schedule.

This series is so wonderful and touching. The characters are fully developed and each actor/actress plays off of each other beautifully. I am so saddened that it was dropped from it's network. I do hope that I will still be able to see season 2 even though it is supposed to air only in Canada.

I absolutely love Saving Hope. I didn't start watching until the second season and was just captivated. Now I don't miss one episode. I purchased several episodes from the 1st season that were not seen on reruns because I wanted to have the full picture about the reason for Charlie's coma, and how he came out of it! I was really surprised and unhappy that Saving Hope is not available on my cable's On Demand feature, or even as free videos online like many other TV shows. So I was happy to purchase the shows for my Kindle at $1.99 ea. What a treasure. The supernatural feeling of the stories wherein Charlie "sees" ghosts or visions of people who are not yet dead is never smarmy or incredible. The love story of doctors Charlie and Alex has its ups and downs to say the least, but they are the most attractive couple one could imagine. I've always admired Erica Durance for her beauty and acting talents ever since Smallville. And Michael Shanks is perfect as the hunky, sensitive and intuitive ortho surgeon. Beautifully acted, extremely well written, this is my favorite medical drama of all time.

Excellent series. Since the last two episodes weren't shown on American TV, I had to watch them here. Erica Durance delivers a great perfomance in each episode. The last episode gave us a great cliff-hanger which opens up a whole new set of possibilities for direction for the show. I hope somehow it is possible to view the next season in the USA!

Saving Hope is my favorite new TV show. Erica Durance is a lovely actor and a favorite of mine. The writing allows Ms. Durance to use her talents to convey emotion necessary for a particular scene (Her big brown eys do speak volumes). Erica was also excellent in one of my all time favorite series "Smallville."

Michael Shanks has been a favorite from the first episodes of the "Stargate" series. It will be interesting to follow his character's path in Saving Hope.

The writing for Saving Hope is unique and surprising.

Nice job everyone.

I loved the characters, absolutely. The quality of the show was right on, the Canadian version of Greys Anatomy, only more focused. The intrigue about Charlie's ways of interacting with other unseen patients... and how we see him dealing with stress even as a kid... really deepened the search for answers. The only other thing I have to say (I don't think this is really a spoiler) is this: If the American market saw the end of Season One, I can well imagine why they didn't buy more seasons. On the other hand, I would have watched as much of it as was put in front of me.
