Personally, I love soup and grew up eating soup (homemade and canned). In fact, at least one meal daily, I eat soup! And if at all possible, I always prefer a great tasting HOMEMADE SOUP! Sound familiar?
This cookbook I happened upon while doing a search called Homemade Soups in Kindle. Bought it without hesitation!
Before I give to you what I found to be the Pros in this cookbook, I will say that I am very, very, picky about soups, especially recipes for homemade soups! OK, here are my favorite things about this book and the PROS:

+ Part One - Cream Soups - A 5 step by step easy lesson is given on how to prepare any type of cream soup from the cooking of the starch (flour or cornstarch etc), cooking the soup base, adding vegetables, puree the soup and finishing the soup.

+ Superb Basic Recipe for Cream Soup - Love this one as I can change out the vegetables to my liking and for variety. But this is like a template recipe!

+ Cheesy Potato Soup - My favorite of all of the recipes. Not only is this tasty, it a soup that I can double the recipe and have for lunch the next day.

+ Cream of Potato Soup - This is the ideal way to get those homemade mashed potatoes taste into a creamy and easy to eat soup! His recipe is quick and easy! (I did cook the potatoes for 22 minutes as I like them softer).

+ Every type of soup, whether creamed or regular is wonderful. The Southwest Corn Soup, Classic Calico Soup (a very healthy and easy to make vegetable soup) and so many more give me the soup recipes I was looking for!

Highly recommend this cookbook!

Breaks everything down in what goes into making soup. Explains the base of cream soups and everything else so that, even if you never made soup before, or don't have much cooking experience, you can follow the recipes with no or little trouble. Love the potato soup. Would certainly be interested in more books from Mr. Weaver.

This cookbook was a free one. I found it one day when it was really cold outside. I started looking through it and found a recipe right away that I wanted to make. When I finished getting that soup on to cook, I found another recipe that I cooked the next day. Excellent cookbook for soups. I have made many of the recipes, and they have all been great. This book was a great find on a cold winter day!

First of all I appreciate that this book has proper table of contents in the front. It makes it easy to choose a recipe and go right to it. I have found that not all cookbooks have this.

This cook book it divided into sections, making it easy to scroll through and find the category you are interested in. This is a nice time saver.

There are some awesome recipes in this book. Try the Jacked-Up Split Pea Soup. It hits the spot on a chilly day. Another favorite is Chicken and Black Bean Chili.

There is a total of 25 recipes and some tips on basic soup making. There are no nutritional facts after each recipe. Every recipe that I have tried so far has been delicious.

Hearty Soups is an interesting book, provides clear directions on how to prepare cream Soup and some delicious soup recipes. The bright side of this book is that it is divided the recipes into big categories, Cream soup recipes and Broth and other soups, I liked that the book provides an image for every recipe too. The cover didn't help much and wasn't too keen on some of the soups when I tried them out.

I enjoy making homemade soup, but I seem to make the same soup every time. This book has given me ideas for variety. The recipes are easy to follow and for the most part, the ingredients are things that one would have on hand. I am writing this in November, and look forward to filling the long, cold winter with these soups on the dinner table.

You won't be disappointed in this book.
