Anyway, i wouldnt call the recipes included groundbreaking, but they are good, and i am glad to have this book to provide further inspiration for those times when i am bored and cant think of anything new or cool to cook. Additionally, the writing style i playful, which makes the book fun to read. You can tell that regardless of my own personal opinion of the recipes, that the two authors really enjoy their recipes in their own lives, and i really appreciate that fact. All in all, i feel four stars is a perfect rating for this effort, although i can see why people have given it five.
There are ways that you can make the recipes more healthful. If you're proficient in baking or cooking then it's easy to switch out ingredient or make substitutions. I tend not to do this because I bought this book fully knowing what it was about. I bought it with the intention of letting myself indulge, but for those who may not have read about the book before purchase there are ways you can tailor it to better suit your needs.
Since I don't use the book everyday I haven't been able to make as many recipes as I would like, which is sad because so many of them look phenomenal, but of the ones I have made this is what I thought.
Blueberry Buttermilk Pancakes - LOVE IT
Banana Split Waffles - Pretty Good! I made these for my husband for his birthday last year. The waffle portion was excellent, but my sweet tooth gets overloaded easily so I could have probably done without all the toppings. This is definitely good for someone who like sweet though.

Sweet Potato Po'Boys - LOVED IT! Loved the creativity of this dish, amazing!
Waldorf Salad Wraps - Pretty good

Sloppy Jo-nis - Pretty good but not my fave sloppy joe recipe
Sweet and Sour Meatballs - These didn't do it for me.

Other things that I love about this book is the beautiful layout. There are so many gorgeous phonographs that really help to inspire you to want to make the dishes. I also love the easy conversational tone the authors write in, and their humor. Even though this is not a book I would use every day due to the un-healthfulness of it, it is a book I come back to again and again when I want comfort food, or for when I'm cooking for omnivores. This is a really fantastic book to use when cooking for omni's and I really wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to a friend or family member. The instructions are clear and easy to understand and even things like making your own bread rolls don't seem to complicated or take up too much of your time. I only wish that I had more time to try more dishes, particularly the desserts which look and sound incredible.
