These tubular feeders are normally quite expensive, so I was delighted that this one was strong, durable and attractive! As soon as I filled it with the thistle seeds and hung it up, the Goldfinches were on it like white on rice! It continues to delight us and is a great addition to the other black oil sunflower seed feeders, suet and bird bath that we watch from our porch year round! Thanks once again, Amazon, for making another product affordable for us poor, retired folks! :)

amazingly well made....no plastic.....although from India it appears to be a copy of an English design....I have a few feeders from England and they are all made far better than the usual plastic junk that is commonly available

After squirrels CHEWED through 2 of my thistle feeders this season I decided I had to purchase they could not chew through. So I did a lot of amazon searching. This was one of the cheapest thistle feeders that was all metal construction. It's also decently sized, there is a smaller and larger version of this available on amazon also.

It looks very nice, and is pretty easy to get together and fill. There is a bar in the middle that makes pouring slow, but its not bad at all. I suggest using a platter plate below to fill it, as seed sprinkles more than my (old) plastic 6 port feeders. However, many more finches can feed from it at the same time.

Another huge plus, the woodpeckers adore eating from this feeder.

It works and looks good. About 30 per cent of the seed spilled out as I filled it, so I will use a plate to catch the spilled seed next time. I suppose other thistle feeders operate in the same manner or else the finches could not get at the seed. I'm still experimenting with finding the best spot for it.

This feeder was found within a day by the chickadees, but it took the goldfinches a week to see it, despite eating from feeders close by. Now that they have, they use it enthusiastically. The feeder is subtle in color, so it blends in with the environment. It seems quite sturdy, and the price is very reasonable.

This thistle seed feeder is perfect for the birds - NO perches which I like and also it is fabricated of all metal so no plastic
pieces to break in our Phoenix heat, it is in a tree so I don't worry about it getting too hot for the birds.

I purchased this feeder as it was more attractive than others I had seen. The gold finches love it filled with black Nyjer seeds. There were six feeding when I first looked out the window this AM. It's nice quality. In fact I liked it so well I purchased another one for a different location. Easy to use, good value for your money and attractive. My kind of purchase.

It took the birds a couple weeks to find it as a regular stop on their backyard feeder tours each day... but once they did, I had yellow finches (and house finches and red finches) eating out of it several times a day. The seed stays pretty dry even after a rain. It is durable and should hold up for years.
