An astonishing story of one of China’s most dedicated, courageous, and intensely persecuted house church leaders!
Brother Yun became a believer at the age of 16. Soon after he became a Christian, God called him to be His witness in the west and south. As he was obedient to the calling, he eventually became a witness of Christ not just in the western and southern parts of China, but throughout China and in the nations beyond China as well.
He is an expert on the Chinese church and author of the bestselling titles The Heavenly Man, which has sold more than 500,000 in English alone, and Back to Jerusalem.
The Heavenly Man
The Remarkable True Story of Chinese Christian Bother Yun
This astonishing account of perseverance and miraculous intervention in the face of horrific opposition has become a worldwide best seller and has been translated into nearly fifty languages.
''This book is like reading a modern day version of Acts. Prepare to be deeply encouraged as well as rudely awakened. An absolute must for the sleeping churches of the West.” —Rev. Dr. Mark Stibbe Author of Thinking Clearly About Revival
- “The story of Brother Yun’s persecution and imprisonment is heart-rending. It’s a profound challenge to each of us to take up the cross and follow Jesus. I found it deeply moving.” —Rev. Dr. Rob Frost
- "You may begin reading The Heavenly Man on your couch, but you will finish it on your knees."—Reinhard Bonnke

"The true church is not an organization controlled by the rules of men but a holy collection of living stones with Jesus Christ as the cornerstone."
"We believe that Jesus is the head of the church, not the government."
This book will inspire like no other, save the Bible itself.
through and how God showed up read like the Book of Acts ! Truly an encouragement, this sets a fire
under any type of complacency ! Also,to show us, we just need to make the first more and God is there !
I was privileged to see Brother Yun speak in person. This humble man, in broken English brought such an
anointing into the room, I fell to my knees and wept !
Every one should read this book. Also pray the US doesn't come to the point of one world religion !
Another book that goes good with this is These Are The Generations, a book written by a North Korean Christian family about their experiences of their family through three generations. It's similar to this book, but also very different. If Christianity in other countries is something you're interested in, definitely check this book out too. You can get from The Voice of The Martyrs website, a possibly here on Amazon as well.
This book will humble you and make you realize what you complain about is weak sauce. I am humbled and challenged every time I am reminded of an aspect of Brother Yun's story. This book pushes me to a place of prayer for the underground church, study of God's word, and gratitude.
