My search for a good rack has been very frustrating, too many are not solid stainless or are very flimsy. This one is very nice, solid construction. Clearly all stainless, and good heavy gauge wire. The only drawbacks are slight warpage and I had to file off a few sharp edges on wire. Overall, way better than most. I would buy this again. I did NOT receive this product in exchange for my "unbiased" review! I paid full price and feel free to speak my mind!

given all the positive reviews, i can only imagine this item has gotten dumbed down these days because what i received was not very good quality at all. i literally had to remove numerous sharp metal burrs all around outside of rack!! plus this rack does not fit snuggly into baking pan/sheet because it is NOT 12” as stated on its label, it is 1/8” to 1/4” shorter so rack rattles back and forth, no big deal i suppose to most but, i like what i buy to fit snugly as expected, just like my larger rack i bought from another brand that fits perfectly into its baking pan and does not budge..

can this rack still do its job as a basic cooling rack sure but, so can a basic 5 dollar one, which the quality of this rack reminds me of given i had to de-burr it!!

I received my 2 racks yesterday and they are great! Love that they are stainless steel and of high quality. I will be using mine mainly for cooking bacon in the oven, among other uses. The racks fit my jelly roll pans perfectly. I have attached a photo, because after reading the reviews and getting different answers, I still wasn't sure if the rack was even with the top of my pan, above it or below it. The rack sets about 1/4" inch below the top of my jelly roll pan. This is exactly where I wanted it to fit. The rack is very sturdy and strong. Thank you for a GREAT product!!

I have only used this once but could not be more thrilled with the results. I made bacon wrappped jalapeño poppers before but could never get the bacon crispy. But using this rack not only made it crispy but beautiful too. I cannot wait to grill and cook other items such as fried chicken etc.

I looked at several brands before choosing this rack. Fits Nordicware half sheet pan perfectly. Feels sturdy. I cooked bacon in the oven and ran the rack through the dishwasher. Came out perfectly clean and no rust so far. Will update review if I notice any rust or other problems. Only thing I noticed is the measurements aren't *exactly* correct. Still not a problem as I said, it fits my half sheet pan perfectly. I want to buy another as soon as it's back in stock.

Fabulous Oven Rack

This is a fabulous rack - I am very happy with the performance. I use this type of rack to bake chicken pieces and sometimes bacon.

Although the wire diameter is a little smaller than other racks I have owned, it is still plenty sturdy for baking/roasting. It cleaned up wonderfully with little effort and was spotless after a run thru the dishwasher.

Other racks I have owned have been plated steel or coated steel and eventually they rust or the coatings break down. I expect this stainless rack will last far longer than the cheaper versions.

The only quibble I have is that some of the cut ends of the wires were a little sharp - a quick rub with my diamond knife sharpener smoothed them right out.

One question I have is whether this rack will survive an oven cleaning cycle if I get it extra dirty.

I just received a request from Spring Hill to give my review. I just used mine this week baking chicken wings. I soak mine in Franks hot sauce for about 6 hours, then sprinkle with a little coarse black pepper and smoked paprika. The rack made them come out better than ever, crispier on the top and bottom. I baked at 425 degrees, and next time might lightly broil them for just that extra crispness we love. The rack seems well made. I did spray it with Pam so the meat would not stick. It fit perfectly in my sheet pan, and easily held about 18 wings with the tips cut off. It cleaned up easily with a plastic scrubber. I did dry it immediately as the instructions said. I would highly recommend this rack, and my only complaint is that even though it says for baking and broiling, they do not list a temp. max on the wrapper. Or at least I could not find one.

I cooked bacon on this rack and it was almost impossible to clean. With all the individual squared it takes 15 minutes just to get to all the food stuck on the rack. Simply not worth all the work to clean it.
