The PRSM Shock Mount is a flexible support system that helps suppress low-frequency rumble on the microphone line by absorbing and damping vibrations picked up from the studio desk or console. The PRSM is designed for use with the large-diameter professional-grade Heil Sound microphones, including the PR 30 and PR 40. Its 5/8" threads mount onto the PL-2T "Topless" and other mounts, for easy installation. Black (PRSM-B) and Champagne (PRSM-C) colors are available.

well for me, although I do not like the idea of having to restring the SM1 as its neoprene band stretches after a long time.
That said I purchased the Heil PR40 Mic along with the Heil PL-2T Boom and love this set-up.

Mic flags for studio mics come in very limited shapes, and unfortunately are tailored more towards the Electro Voice RE20 -- which has been the industry standard in broadcast for 25 years. Thus, I had to return the shockmount.
I still picked up echo in my recording even with two limiter/gates (DBX 286s and Soundcraft EFX8) when accidentally bumping the frame of this boom -- which also makes it less functional as a true daily studio grinder. I purchased the Electro Voice 309a shockmount as it fits both the Heil and my RE20 and several manufacturers makes custom logo printed mic flags for the 309a.
For the price I expected more from this shockmount.
