Yup, they're definitely beans...

The beans are good, but the markup is a bit on the painful side. You can probably chalk that up to import/shipping fees. Figured I'd give them a try since I was wanting to experiment with British style breakfasts, but I probably won't buy them again unless I can get a good deal on them. They're essentially the same as the American variety, although they are definitely a little less sweet and don't have pork in them. (Unless you cooked them in your bacon drippings like I did.) No issues with shipping. Nothing was dented up.

By the way, dented doesn't mean ruined. Cans like this are hermetically sealed containers, meaning they're completely airtight. They can can be dented beyond recognition and, as long as they're not leaking, the contents are completely fine.

Perfect Gift for my British Husband!

Bought this as a gift to my husband who is from the United Kingdom. He was SO happy to open this up on Christmas morning and couldn't stop talking about how there is nothing as good as these beans.

A little disappointed that their best buy date is January 2017 (less than a month after I bought them), but I know he'll devour them anyway. Still a good value!

Love these beans! They are different then found typically here in the U.S. But my husband and I like these better. They are not sweet, just basic beans and great for regular cooking such as beans and weenies and such but also very nice for a more British treat such as beans on toast or for cooking a full English breakfast. They are extremely expensive in our local grocery store (in the Ethnic section) and it far more economical to buy these here on eBay (if you are a prime member) with free shipping. They aren't cheap but it is cheaper here for sure than in the British internet stores or our local store (if you can find them at all in your local store).

Severely dented cans

Heinz Beanz are delicious and get a 5 star from me. However the cans I received were severely dented around the lip and base. One can could actually be "popped" in and out indicating air was able to get in and the contents unusable. That's how salmonella poisoning from cans happens. It's quite dangerous. Of the 4, I could use 2 but they were still suspect.

If you think all cans of beans may taste the same you'd be wrong. Heinz Beanz are really delicious. I can see why the Brits love them! Try them on a slice (or three) of toasted bread and you'll love them too. The sauce is not overpowering as it is in so many canned varieties. Well worth the money.

This is baked beans at its best. I used to buy this a long time ago, but then you have to go to the International aisle in grocery stores. Sometimes they have it, sometimes they don’t. It is less sugary to my palette, just my opinion.

Better than the overly sugary and heavy salted varieties of baked beans from America- these are made in the United Kingdom (Great Britain). No dented cans in the multi-pack I bought either. Good taste. Worth tryiong and you may never go back to the syrupy American "brown sugar" or "corn syrup" varieties of so-called "baked" beans again.
