So, know going in that you need to spend $8 to read the whole story. that in itself would not be a problem, as long as the description clearly states that. However, when I pay $8 for a book, I expect professional editing.
This story wasn't terrible, but it certainly ranked high on the NFW (no freaking way) scale. It also does contain a fair number of typos and errors.
Paying $2 - 3 for the full story, (edited 10/7/17: the story now has many books and costs close to $30) (which of course includes 2 other "books"), would be more reasonable. As it is, I won't buy the next two, it just isn't written well enough to justify the cost.
My biggest issue with the story is that, though it is not told from the first person narrative (not really a fan of that), it may as well have been. Unless Chey tells us what she believes the others are thinking and/or the author tells us, the author does not take us into the minds of others. She could have had scenes where Sander is off doing whatever he does when he is not with Chey, and hearing his thoughts regarding his budding romance. The author could have taken us to scenes with Mattias, Viia, etc., so we get a fuller picture of the characters.
I applaud the author for keeping the action moving so that the book is interesting, and the cliffhanger really did not bother me. However, I hope in her subsequent books, we get more perspective from the other main characters. Also, while I realize that Latvala is not a real country, having the author refer to the foreign language as, the mother tongue is just lazy. If you make up a country, give it a language, and give us some idea of if it is a Romance language, a Germanic language, etc.
In closing, if you are looking for a lighthearted, quick read, this one will work. The ending does not resolve the story, so be warned before downloading. While I do want to know how the romance turns out, I am not rushing out to get the other two books, as I want to wait to see if it is just a trilogy, or if there is a fourth book coming out. The story is interesting and I like the characters. The descriptions of the scenery are great; I just think the author should do a better job of developing the world she created. Let us know more about the language and culture, and explain to us why security wears sunglasses all the time. Help us understand the people of the land and those types of things. Finally, give us some real romance scenes. I am not looking for erotica, but as another reviewer stated, more intimacy should be provided between Chey and the hero. This is a romance novel after all, and I would like to see some.

I would give this zero stars because it is a CLIFF HANGER! This story would be a very interesting one if the author would just get it going and forget...Read more
