This book is the perfect example of a who-dun-it, and I found myself getting up earlier than usual in the mornings just to get some extra reading time. It has a classic mystery feel, with all of the modern settings, language, and characters.
I always want to figure it out before Haz, but he has a nose for solving mysteries, and I loved some of the revelations unraveled in this book. Seriously, Hatt really knows how to weave a good mystery, and left me in awe this time.
In book four, Haz is looking for a family inheritance, and there are all sorts of interesting characters and mystical events that made it stand out from Hatt's other books.
What I love about these books is that they are so fast-paced, yet packed with content, and each can be read as standalones. Although, I'd recommend reading them in order just to get the full effect.
I'm invested in Haszard and I can't help rooting for the guy every step of the way.
As always, Hatt's writing is impeccable. I found myself feeling sad to see it end, and I always love that in a book.
I'm so excited to read book five, Race for the Prize. I can't even imagine what Haszard will get involved with next...but I'm excited to find out! Hatt is definitely turning out to be one of my all-time favorite authors!
The characters have grown throughout the stories and I do suggest you read each book so you can see the changes in Haz and the other characters as time progresses. I have so enjoyed these stories and do hope that the author has more Haz stories out soon.
I’m a former teacher and while I enjoy reading immensely – I am selective about what I read and budget wise – I am double selective. These books make the grade – pun intended.
This series is not your average crime/mystery read. If you are looking for a really good series that is never dull – I recommend this author.
In this story we have a family inheritance gone missing.
Our crime and mystery solver, Haz quickly realizes that to succeed he may have to really step outside his comfort zone.
I liked the curveball that was thrown in the previous book and the author once again deftly takes the reader down an interesting story path.
I like the author’s writing style as the previously mentioned curveball comes into the story when you aren’t expecting it and really amps the read even more.
While there is a good amount of character interaction throughout, there are never any lags and the story continues at a good pace throughout.
The author mentions that this story sets the bar for stories to follow so I am eager to read his next book.
They want him to look for a missing inheritance or something else valuable.
Mary (45+, clairvoyant, gypsy lady) had given the couple some insight.
That information was passed on to Haz & company.
Sacha Gurevich (Russian defector, scientist, Aurora Project) had crashed his plane. Haz had saved him.
Sacha needed to meet with the MI5 (British Secret Service).
Colonel Robert W. Casson, & Captain Veronica Healy had Haz & Sabrina captured & they are now being held captive.
Ed Loughmann (Haz BMF, business man) got the 2 out of that jam.
Why was Robert Lamb shot/killed?
DC Vicky Ward (lesbian), & DCI Fletcher were investigating the murder.
What happened to Gwendolyn?
Gerald Foster & Anna Foster (aka George Slater & Angela Slater) hired Haz to find a repository.
1st call was to Sam Selvey (solicitor).
Would the repository (missing family inheritance) ever be found?

I did not receive any type of compensation for reading & reviewing this book. While I receive free books from publishers & authors, I am under no obligation to write a positive review. Only an honest one.
A very awesome book cover, great font & writing style. A very well written who-dun-it crime mystery book. It was very easy for me to read/follow from start/finish & never a dull moment. There were no grammar/typo errors, nor any repetitive or out of line sequence sentences. Lots of exciting scenarios, with several twists/turns & a huge set of very unique/colorful characters to keep track of. This could also make another great who-dun-it crime mystery movie, or mini TV series. Continued on. A very easy rating of 5 stars.
