''Hell Baby,'' a comedy scripted by Thomas Lennon and Robert Ben Garant (''Night at The Museum,'' ''Reno 911!: Miami'') marks their co-directing debut. Jack (Rob Corddry) and Vanessa (Leslie Bibb) are an expectant couple that moves into the most haunted fixer-upper in New Orleans -- a house with a deadly demonic curse. Things soon spiral out of control for Jack and Vanessa, as well as their-not-so-helpful neighbor F'Resnel (Keegan-Michael Key), Vanessa's friendly psychiatrist (Michael Ian Black), Vanessa's Wiccan sister Marjorie (Riki Lindhome) and the detectives assigned to look into the rising body count (Rob Huebel and Paul Scheer). Only the Vatican's elite exorcism team (Garant and Lennon) san save them -- or can they?

Watching the first few minutes concerned me as the main characters seemed incredibly dense but a surprise was in store as, instead of just the B movie gore I was looking for, I had stumbled on a quality piece with a very focused "Dark Humor" bent.
If you're a late night "questionable" taste flick fan and have watched a large library of "possession" movies to draw from you may enjoy this as much as I did... It is all there with good direction, acting and a twisted sense of humor. A bit of an Evil Dead meets Rosemary's Baby while visiting the exorcist.
Lots of laugh-out-loud moments that almost feel better the cheaper they are. Riki Lindhome makes an excellent hippie chick and looks fantastic without clothes on. Keegan-Michael Key is super funny, especially when he does the New Orleans accent. Also see Balls of Fury.
