It's one thing to have a private personal bias toward another nation and be a US leader who governs by principle. It's quite another to allow that personal bias to set aside absolutes of moral conduct for Situation Ethics toward another nation. When a leader governs that way, tyranny results. Recounting the conduct of the Carter and Obama Administrations toward Israel, Ms. Blum factually traces the insidious laying aside of principle by Messrs. Carter and Obama to impose demands on Israel.
Should US actions toward Israel be made relative to the conditions of the Middle East without a standard of principle for all parties involved? OR - should US actions be made based on a standard of conduct recognized to be beneficial to all mankind? The Liberal bias of the Carter and Obama administrations reflect a personal avoidance of adhering to proven historical international standards of conduct toward another nation as shown in Ms. Blum's book.
The U.S. under Carter and Obama leadership removes the standard of keeping one's word from the Palestinians, but continues to put unfair pressure on Israel to return to Pre-67 War Borders.
Ms. Blum should be commended for having the courage to expose the bias of the Messrs. Carter and Obama so that the U.S. public can see the facts. Appeasement of radical Islam within any nation's government only leads to emboldening the Muslim extremists and revealing the weakened resolve of the Obama administration.
This book boils down the truth of what is happening into an easy to read overview. Well done!
