Not only that, but he seems to be able to unerringly predict what the rest of the media will be paying attention to months AFTER he addresses the issue.
This collection of weekly comics is also a testament to the fact that there were people who A.) thought the Iraq Invasion was a HUGE mistake and bad strategy and immoral. ,etc. well before it happened. B.) That President Bush has been deserving of 65% disapproval rating since the beginning of his term. C.) That Tom Delay is one oft he most corrupt officials of all time D.)That Ann Coulter and the rest of the right wing noise machine are actively hurting America (and the world).
If you like the way the Daily Show offers information and a humorous skewering of those in power, I think you will LOVE this book!
The cartoons are funny and look great in the book form. My local paper prints black and white versions of the comic, so seeing them in lovely full color is a real treat!
Do yourself, your friends and your country a favor and BUY THIS BOOK!!!
When the sensation to laff out loud suddenly grabs , it is almost impossible to stop.
Mr "Tomorrow" understands that the world of "today" is no matter to laff at, but, just by observing the supremo absurdo that is this bola -confusão planeta, and that it seems USA is "walking point" in this regard,
this insightful comic becomes both a high satirist and somewhat of a cynic in pointing the contradictions, manipulation of logic, dishonesty, and most sad, venal and morally bankrupt mechanisms of this new "age of endarkenment" (grazii diu , Signore Michele Ventura for this frase).
Our intrepid penguin friend "Sparki" aside, there are some incredible panels in this newest (to date) of TT's "books.
Remember, also, for those who cannot shake "Correct Answer Machine" partisan viewpoints, Mr Tomorrow was equal harsh to the crazylouco Clinton regime as he is to the current junta running (and , running around) the EUA .
10000000000000000000 stars, milliards and milliards of laffs!
I'm constantly surprised, not to mention disturbed, at how true many of his satirical, tongue-in-cheek comments and predictions are. It's sad that the things that seemed so outrageous at one time are actually happening now, while so many people just look right past it.
Definitely buy this book; you won't be sorry.
