Editor Trevor Denyer has been publishing splendid magazines for many years, of late in the digital format exclusively. With the release of Hellfire Crossroads #6, he has ventured into the perfect-bound print arena. And it is a fine venture, as all of the stories contained within are good, some very good. The primary factor that lifts this production out of the more commonplace anthologies is the editor's eclectic taste. As he so eloquently states on his website: he publishes "horror with a heart," meaning horror that is "well written and has depth." And his selections do just that, especially with the fine cast of authors he has assembled, such as Gary Couzens, Ralph Robert Moore, Ron Larsen, and a host of others! Try this anthology: I'm sure you'll find any number of tales to enjoy!
