This book is frenetically petrifying and, psychologically mind twisting. You will not want to go to bed without making sure the doors are locked and the lights are on!!!
And the Chronicles continue. Another great, great book by Novak only seems to keep you hungry for more.....we find ourselves again in Alaska where Evelyn Talbot is running Hanover House, trying to find out what goes on in the mind of serial killers.
Not only hasnt Jasper Moore (her torturer when she was 16) been found yet, but now there is another serial killer, Lymon Bishop, about to be released because of a technicality - and Talbot believes he is guilty.
Things get hairy when there are more girls killed; and the mystery continues as to who is responsible, when they will strike again....this book has romance, thrills, mystery and is now making me wait impatiently for the next in the series.....
The whole time you are rooting for Aramok and Evelyn to become one and Jasper to be killed.
Then the next thing you know it's 430am and you are yelling and waking up the house because the ending of this book is so crazy you just cannot believe what you JUST read. I mean SERIOUSLY.
What are you waiting for? You have to be frustrated with the rest if us while we impatiently wait for the next book!
Evelyn is surrounded by psychopaths. Some near. Some far. But all very nasty and evil people. Could you live your life knowing there is someone waiting for just the right moment to pounce and then destroy you, your family and your whole life?
A thrilling read of suspense with lots of tension in the last half where you sit on the edge of your seat.
2nd in the series but can easily be read on its own.
You will want to read this in one sitting if you can.
And then you have to wait how long for the next book to come out? An ending, but also not.
Jasper Moore is still free, making Evelyn and Amarok desperate to find him so he can't hurt Evelyn again.
This is another nail biting story in Novak's Hanover House series. Be prepared to read in one sitting as you'll have a hard time putting it down until you finish!
Evelyn has a new inmate to contend with now that Anthony Garza and Hugo Evanski have been dealt with. She is in the frustrating position of not being completely sure of Lyman Bishop's guilt. As the survivor of a violent attack in her teen years, Evelyn isn't sure that her judgement is completely on par. Has she taken the stance that all convicts are truly guilty, or is Lyman just a very convincing liar? With new killings taking place in her hometown, Evelyn is also convinced that Jasper is back to his old tricks.
I cannot wait to see where Evelyn's story takes us next!
