I am a 38-39 suit, which prompted my medium order. I tried on with a base layer and mid and found the arm holes shoulder too tight.

I bought this right before the cold snap. And I'm glad I bought it! We had temperatures down to -30C and this jacket is perfect!

Having skied in this jacket 41 days so far this year (Copper Mountain, CO), I finally feel qualified to write a review. The short summary: Outstanding jacket! 5 stars! A+++! Now, the specifics:

1. Fit and finish. I am 6'3" and 235 lbs. One reason for picking this jacket was that it came in XXL. The fit is meant to be a trim euro-style. When I first put it on in the living room, I was worried it might be just a bit too snug, but I figured with the stretchable fabric it was worth a try. It has been absolutely perfect. In fact, I wonder if it has permanently stretched a bit through wear. It now seems to fit even better, like a well-worn pair of jeans or your most comfortable shoes. When standing with my arms at my side and no gloves, the sleeves hang down to my knuckles, but that is perfect when assuming a skiing posture and wearing gloves.

2. Warmth/temperature regulation. My first day in the jacket was brutal -- 15 degrees, moderate to heavy snow, and windy. The jacket performed perfectly. I wanted to come in and write my review then and there, but really...a review after one use? Anyway, the insulation in this jacket is light (which contributes to it's overall light weight). As I can tend to overheat on the mountain, I like this feature. I devised a system that works for me...Warm days (Temps above 25F) I wear a lightweight base layer plus the jacket. Cool days (Temps 15-30F) I wear a midweight base layer plus the jacket. Frigid days (below 20F all day) I wear a lightweight base layer, a mid-layer, plus the jacket. Using this system, I have NEVER been cold in this jacket. Now that we're into spring skiing, the ventilation system along with the Gore-Tex fabric do a great job ventilating moisture to the outside, so there's never that wet, clammy feeling.

I haven't used it in the skiing yet, but for how light weight and not bulky it is, this jacket is very warm and breathable when you open the vents. Great buy and worth it
