This book seemed like it cut off the remaining story and then switched to a different one about the dragon entirely (apparently this book has a few combined in one). It started introducing trauma in a great way my three year old could understand and then had no ways to cope or any resolution that the dragon would learn to adapt over time. Highly disappointing since I am a foster parent and it seemed like a great buy. Don’t waste your money.

I bought this book to help my child understand what I sometimes go through after my trauma. And a short time ago, as I was brushing her hair, she saw me close my eyes and breathe as a bad memory popped into my head. She asked me what was wrong and I told her I had a bad thought, but I'm OK now. And she says, "Like Digory Do?" This book helped me find the words to let her know I'm still here, just a bit different now. And it's all ok!
