nakeSkins are an instant stuff sack system that collapses your Hennessy Hammock in about 30 seconds. Your shelter never touches the ground, never gets dirty or muddy. It just disappears into two tapering tubes of silnylon which sit gathered on the ropes at each end of the hammock for amazingly quick set up and take down. For use with all Hennessy Hammock models. The 70 D poly hex fly requires an additional pair of snakeskins because the hex fly is bulkier than the standard rainflies.

I used to set up my tarp with a bowline hitch and a trucker's hitch, but pulling the length of a rolled up tarp in the SnakeSkins through a loop isn't ideal, so I got a dutchwaregear(dotcom) "dutch hook" instead. I could still do the trucker's hitch, but with the added mass of the ridgeline loaded with the tarp made it a bit of a struggle so I ended up getting a dutchwaregear "wasp". The hardware took the sting out of setup as much as the SnakeSkins saved an immense amount of setup time!
As soon as my ridgeline was attached to trees, (a breeze with the hardware) my tarp was essentially installed! Even in the windiest circumstances (that could be considered safe to hang) I wasn't struggling to fold a tarp over a ridgeline! I could even deploy one half at a time and stake it down without fighting the whole thing. As soon as the SnakeSkins were pulled away the tarp and all the guy lines were deployed! All that needed to be done is to stab it into the earth and viola!
As soon as I pocket the stakes, I can gather a corner, loosely roll the tarp with the no tangle guy lines folded in and pulling the SnakeSkins over the tarp and it was stowed! Disconnecting the dutch wasp hardware end, coiling slack of the ridgeline and then rolling the SnakeSkins to the dutch hook hardware end gave me a small, flat roll I could lash with the remaining ridgeline for packing in my fat bike bag.
It's simple, fast, easy to setup as brake down and pack away. Fantastic product, facilitation, and execution. I Love it.
I picked up another set to use also for my Hennessy Deluxe hammock (the big 12'x10' one) and these snakeskins go over the tarp with ease. I couldn't get my tarp AND my Skeeter Beeter into one set of snakeskins, but not a big deal. I don't always need to carry the tarp, so it's ok being separated.
Makes setup of my hammock take literally less than 1 minute, and takedown is only 30 seconds. I kid you not, and that's after only 3-4 practice setups.
time to make a tight roll of you tarp or hammock. And
forget using just one skin for both tarp and hammock. I
use two separate skins, and can't believe many are able
to stuff both into one skin as promoted by Hennessey. Also,
mine has a separated hem end, where a ring of material is sewn on.
