About the Author
Anthea Brigham, who now lives with her husband in Gloucester, Massachusetts, was a young girl in England during World War II. She recently decided to write and illustrate the true story of the hen she remembered. The deaf old lady in the story was Anthea's grandmother, and the kind lady who rescued Henrietta was her mother.
