I read Tom Jones when I was a high school sophomore. I wasn't much of a reader then, so I surprised myself that I could get through all that prose in my limited spare time. By chance I came across an Easton Press leather bound copy of Tom Jones at a bargain basement price on Ebay. When I got it, it seemed as intimidating as War and Peace. So I bought the Barron's Book Notes and was glad I did. I usually prefer Spark Notes, but I could not find this title in Spark Notes. Barron's turned out to be a great alternative. I highly recommend their guides. 50 years after high school, I was reminded how helpful these guides can be!
