Our college students, Henry and Elle are on again, off again let's just have fun, until they're not. The geek and the jock know how to bring out the best in each other, know how to make each other laugh and know how to have fun together, until the realities of life and personal tragedies makes them stop and think. The geek is sassy and snarky and definitely a worthy opponent to our self absorbed, clueless jock...their banter and interactions are priceless.
I laughed and cried for our young couple...Henry, dealing with unrealistic parental expectations all in an effort to kill his dreams and Elle, living an unwanted and unfulfilling life to please others. I loved watching them grow and evolve, and realizing how much better they were together when they communicated with honesty and decided to become a team. Nothing the matter with good friends (Hunter & Tassie, from book #1) to stand by you and give you a pep talk when you need it, or good old fashioned motherly advice. I absolutely love the cast of side characters in this series. Mimi left us with a bit of a cliffie at the end of this one, so I have a feeling we've not seen the last of these two, there will definitely be some unfinished business to resolve.
Henry Walton is a NFL College Draft hopeful who everyone on the field knows to watch out. Elle is the brainy girl who is too wise for her young age.
It all started with a raffle race, Elle winning the prize (Henry), some passionate few weeks and a secret on Elle's part to separate them. Henry doesn't know what happened but moves on only realize superstition is a real thing. With Elle gone Henry is endanger of losing is Draft pick and can't admit that maybe Elle had made him better. Elle is slightly miserable. Maybe might even miss the big, strong, sinfully sexy, funny, sweet brute whether she'll admit or not.
Oh Henry was funny, snarky, smart love story and Mimi Jean has weaved an amazing world. One where you can lose yourself and still find more than ever knew. Of course Mimi throws in that cliff hanger and a few surprises. It wouldn't be a Mimi Jean Book/ World if it didn't have a few surprises. Enjoy Henry and Elle's story!!!!!!
Lough out Loud, sweetly sexy, emotionally gripping romantic adventure with a small family drama twist and tiny cliff at the very end.
Henry Walton is sweet, funny, sexy and all so alpha male. He is also from a very powerful family with a highly manipulative father running the show. Elle is sweet, sexy, sassy and off the charts smart (super computer smart) and separating her school life and home life (which at this point is full of lost hope) is critical to her sanity (or so she believes) until Henry comes crashing in and confusing everything up. She can't seem to fathom being wrong about something, but maybe she is. Loved it so much!!! Can't wait for the next in the series.
Henry is a college football star who has it all- talent, looks, money and a sure shot at the NFL. Down side- his dad is a cooperate manipulative @##hole.
Elle is an impossibly smart nerd who knows what she is, what she wants and what she wants the big O...Henry stress relief.
Two seemingly different people come together and find out they are more alike then they thought.
Henry and Elle are the most perfect characters ever.
I say this all the time but i swear every book MJP writes is better then the last
Author: Mimi Jean Pamfiloff
Wow! I bought this book on a whim. I read the blurb and it struck me. Elle is different. Yeah she is like Stephen Hawking smart, well actually smarter, but as a college student and a person she is different. She doesn't fit the "norm" and this hot and sexy man wants her.
Well, Henry loves football and rocks at it but his dad is manipulative and wants Henry away from football and Elle. And poor Elle has some serious secrets of her own.
This was a well written story. The characters made you laugh and made you want to strangle them; their stubbornness was strolling.
The story and characters are witty, caring, stubborn, and real. By the end of the book the author's charm has me ready to read the next book.
