"4 stars! Scorcher! An emotional story that causes one to evaluate just how much one's past experiences should color one's present. The portrayal of the heroine's huge struggle with allowing anyone to get close to her and the hero's patience and support are outstanding."―RT Book Reviews on His All Night

About the Author
Born and raised in Southeast Michigan near Ann Arbor, Elle learned the importance of reading from her mother. It was also her mother who, later on in her life, gave Elle her first romance novel: Indigo by Beverly Jenkins. From that moment on, Elle became a fan of Ms. Jenkins for life and a lover of all things romance. An old journal she wrote back in college became her first book (which she still wants to publish one day).

That alone would be reason enough to give this book five stars. But then Elle Wright weaves a loving story of a woman, Allina, and a man, Kent who've been best friends for years, each unwilling to acknowledge their love for the other. Until Allina becomes the run-away bride and shows up at Kent's doorstep, frightened and in need of support. Together they must deal with meddling friends forcing them not only to acknowledge their feelings but act on them, their friends and families very real life issues that refuse to take a back-seat to Allina and Kent's drama and a jilted groom who won't accept no as final, .Elle Wright paints word pictures that made me weep, scream at certain characters, and kept me turning the page because she told the truth about family interactions and how two lovers overcame real challenges to get to their happily ever after.
I enjoyed the first two books of the series, but I loved this one the most. I honestly didn’t think I would like Allina as much as I did. Of the three women (Syd – so dramatic, Cali – tough as nails and awesome), I found Allina to be the odd one out in the first two books. She bordered on boring for me. Boy was I wrong. Yes she’s a good girl, but she has strength, grit, and courage to spare. She’d been through a lot in her life and her current fiancé doesn’t make things any easier.
Kent was one of my favorite characters from the beginning of the series. He’s sexy, intelligent, charming, kick ass, and did I mention sexy? He was perfect for Allina, and their transition from friends to lovers was so natural. And it was so romantic. All of it.
Now for the bad news. Allina did something that had me screaming at her because I thought it was a dumb move. The explanation she gave for her actions (after the fact) made it more understandable.
All three books in the series were wonderful and I highly recommend reading them. I’m hoping for a fourth, but we’ll see.
