Years later their paths crossed and Bell was there to save Dane again but this was life and death . Dane kept feeling some dejavue and Bell saw the tattoo on his arm from years ago. Bell was Danes doctor and their was an attraction but Bell knew guys like Dane didn't go for girls like Bell.
Bell had a hard life growing up and was exceptionally smart. Dane was a rodeo guy and jumping from girl to girl.
Once his dad told him Bell's life story he knew if he wanted her for keeps he had to take it slow and get to know her.
Through getting to know her and someone trying to kill her because of him he had his work cut out. He did show patience and understanding with her and didn't make fun.
Was a great story and true persistence in trying win her over and Dane learned a few things about himself.
Was captivating from the get go , please read.
The second character that Ms. Ryan created well was Rowdy. As the antagonist, he stayed true to his dementia throughout the story. His belief that it was every one else's fault was exactly right.
Dane was also well-developed, but as the lynchpin, I didn't feel as much change in him as acceptance of his new circumstances.
I also didn't feel the sizzle, any sizzle until I reached the 60% mark. Oh, I was told Dane felt attracted to Belle, but you could've fooled me. I felt more heat between his brothers and their wives.
There was a great deal of emotional connections, casting, etc. Growing love, but not heat. And even after the 60% mark it wasn't what I would call hot. Pleasant. Appropriate. Nice.
Still I think I'm going to read the other books in this series; I've grown to like the family.
I love the author and have enjoyed all the books in the series.
