I loved how selfless Cady was also. She loved Joseph so clearly and fiercely that there was no room for doubt.
I wanted to grab Joseph several times and slap him upside his head! The stuff that comes out of his mouth is just horrid. Poor Cady.
I like how each book fills in some pieces of the story that were lacking from another book.
Really enjoyed Joseph and Cady’s story. Loved the Epilogue as well. Well written. Great book!!
A series automatically denotes to readers that previous books need to be read in order to get all the info on characters and events prior to the book being read. We do not expect or want to pay for regurgitation, especially not for a third of a book! Most of the books in this series are very short in comparison to price anyway. This author cannot afford to make this kind of a rookie mistake. No author can. Readers expect to get what they pay for and will demand it by their future purchase choices. This is enough reason for Ms Hunter to severely edit and rework this book and any others she has approached like this. I, for one, expect more from any author who is serious about his/her craft and reputation. If it weren't for the fact that she is a good author and puts thought into her plots, I would have given this book a one-star rating.
(If you do edit and rewrite this book, I hope you send all those of us who purchased this one the new copy. It would go a long ways toward redemption!)
In his story, Joseph is an ass. He's very self-centered and way too mean and cruel to Cady. I get it, he's paralyzed, afraid, sad and concerned that some "pretty" girl might see him and how he is physically at this low point of his life. He has lost his future and feels useless and can't stand the thought of having to spend the rest of his life as handicapped. But he is too mean to Cady. He is written as if he has no class whatsoever.
Cady is such a wimp. Taking the role of Joseph's whipping boy is a little overbearing. I get it, she feels homely and hasn't been told anything except she's not pretty. She is tactful and doesn't want to upset Joseph, but enough is enough.
Now, I do have to say that it isn't a bad story, just a little over the top with Cady and Joseph's personalities. I did look forward to how Joseph was going to come to the realization that he loved Cady. Even in the end, he was still foolish in his demands she marry him. Though he did finally get around to telling her how he felt instead demanding what he wanted.
I am not sure I want to get the next book about Isaac. Though I think he is a very interesting character. I just don't want any rehash in Isaac's book with copy/paste from Joseph's book.

Joseph and Cady are a bit of a mismatch couple to start with but they are destined to be together! Literally! Joseph is a male who is used to having all the female company any man could ever possibly need oe want but that all changes when this daredevil has a tragic accident. Cady has healing powers and is there to help Joseph regain the use of his legs and manhood. You will feel all the emotions the character's feel. You'll laugh, cry and feel madly happy.
The way Sable bring's her character's to life is just outstanding! You will laugh, cry and need more... the good thing is, you get them in all the books. This book stole my breathe in so many parts.
This series is tied in with the Cajun Spice series and when read the correct way, you will feel like you're living the life of these characters.
The love scene's are very HOT!
I love most that we get the events overlapping in each book so we get to see the situations in a different perspective!
Literally and figuratively.
The third installment of the Hell Yeah! series of books about the McCoy brothers and Tebow Ranch, it's probably my favourite book of the lot. Cady and Joseph McCoy. Cady, a woman who'd always known that this McCoy belonged to her even before he was born. Joseph, the playboy and daredevil among the men, who had to learn to appreciate the simpler things in life again.
To see that the woman fated to be his was not an ugly duckling but a swan.
You need to read the book to know what I mean.
What I've come to love about Ms Hunter's books are the ways by which she weaves life's lessons into the story. Lessons that some people tend to forget as we all try to survive this ever madding world, forever inundated with pictures of the perfect man and woman, and holding on to the belief that we are invincible. Joseph had to learn this the hard way, by depending on someone to help him become whole again. He just didn't include himself falling in love with a woman who he physically thought was ugly, into the equation.
No person is an island. No woman is ugly.
We all need someone. A friend, a lover, a shoulder to lean on or to cry on.
And we all fall in love. When we least expect it.
Perhaps the next time we feel invincible and think we don't need anybody's help, we could get down our high horse and realize that no person is an island. And the next time we look at a woman and snicker because she doesn't fit the picture we've been brainwashed with, think again. Because that person may just be helluva more beautiful - inside and out - than any amount of cosmetic surgery or personality coach can fix.
Usually I would have stopped reading well before page 100, but I had liked the first two books enough to keep going.
The rest of the book was good.
I loved the characters, wanted to hug some, punch others - always the sign of a good book to me...I'm in two minds as to whether i should keep on with the series as I don't want another 100 pages of books I just read....why do authors do this, I find it insulting- a few reminders is fine to refresh my memory, don't cut and paste half the previous book...
